5 things you PROBABLY didn’t know an “air hammer” to do
Переглядів 264 тис.3 роки тому
Most people know what an air hammer is, there’s a lot of people that don’t know the full potential of how these simple tools can make your life a lot easier. There’s a lot of attachments that you can get for these. There’s the basic chisel that everybody’s probably cut metal with. But some designs are better than others. You can get hammers of all different sizes and materials. You can get a pi...

"UNCONVENTIONAL” exhaust fix that WORKS (even in front of the catalytic converter) LOW COST
Переглядів 76 тис.4 роки тому
LOOKING for a low-cost way to fix your exhaust system? The most challenging exhaust fix is from the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold. The temperatures are too high for most typical materials. The only material suitable is refractory cement. The big problem with this cement... it's brittle as glass. It is also very challenging to weld a hole shut on an exhaust system because the steel...
removing the NASTIEST rusty bolts (the right TOOLS and TECHNIQUES)
Переглядів 903 тис.4 роки тому
Rusty bolts are never fun, having the right tools and understanding the techniques to break the rust off without seizing the bolt is extremely important. This technique is one that most people commonly do not understand. By not understanding that you can compact the rust inside you can continue to push until you snap the bolt, which causes a lot of heartache. SUPPORT MY CHANNEL FOR "FREE" - vis...

WHY smoke test is better than a high pressure test

FIX almost any switch for pennies
Переглядів 5 тис.5 років тому
I find it’s easier to FIX a broken switch than trying to FIND the right replacement switch to order. Then you still have to wait for it to arrive (hopefully it’s the right one) and then replace it. Almost every industrial switch is made the same way and fails the same way. There are contacts made out of silver, and after turning on and off the machine so many times these contacts become pitted....
WHY you want to check your PCV valve regularly
Переглядів 427 тис.5 років тому
FORGETTING to check your PCV valve is really easy to do. The job of the PCV valve is to regulate unburned fuel mixture back into your engine so there is less pollution. If the PCV valve malfunctions, you can throw too much unburned fuel and oil right onto your intake manifold valves. When you see the valves in this video because the PCV valve went bad you want to run out to your car and check i...

This is very helpful. I changed brake pads and discs on my car 2 months ago because one of the pads destroyed the disc when in got stuck and got worn out quickly. But it happened again on the new disc and the same pad. Now I know what the reason is, because I remember it was difficult to get that specific pad in to the position. That mistake cost me alot of money because those were really good rotors that got destroyed.

They certainly do come in handy. I like the sheet metal cutting attachment. Zips through 1/16" aluminum with some cutting oil so it doesn't gall. I also made an attachment once once with a hollow tube on the end. It holds number punches for marking steel.

Now this is a terrible gypsy fix!!! No one in their right mind would sit in a car "repaired" like this! Such holes can only be replaced with new sheet metal and welded. Also, it is questionable how a car rusted like this will crumple in a car crash!

I bought an air hammer about 10 years ago and used it once or twice for ball joints & stuff. Then I bought a school bus to convert to a toy hauler RV. Bus bodies are held together with thousands of rivets. I was sure happy to have my air hammer with the curved chisel bit to cut them off and the pointy bit to drive the rest out.

I had to look at the comments because I couldn’t believe what this guy was doing. Either he works for the big wig dealers to get people to destroy their cars so they have to go and buy new ones…. Or he’s doesn’t know what he is doing. Either way, nobody should ever attempt this unless they are trying to destroy their engine.

Just wondering how many novices of viewers got screwed from watching this video and copying what you did?! This foam acts as a sponge. It absorbs moisture and retains it. If you live in an area where they apply road salt, this foam you applied retains salty water in the rocker panels, which means that you are speeding up the rust process...daaah! Thumbs down for this video for sure.
